Petra Warrington

Petra is a solicitor at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP acting on behalf of artists, dealers, collectors, arts organisations and trustees in a range of contentious and non-contentious matters relating to art and cultural property. Her dispute resolution work often involves complex issues of title, history, provenance, attribution, authenticity and value of works of art and cultural property in an international context. She was formerly at Hunters LLP.

Petra has practical experience of the art market, having previously held research, collection management and business roles at museums, galleries and auction houses in the United States and London as well as a strong academic interest in the subject. She holds a BA and MA in History of Art.

Petra is a mediator accredited with ADR Group. She regularly speaks and publishes on art law topics and is a member of the Professional Advisors to the International Art Market (PAIAM), the Art, Cultural Institutions and Heritage Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Institute of Art and Law.
