Malcolm Taylor

Malcolm is a solicitor with over 30 years’ experience as a commercial and international lawyer in the City. During his time in practice Malcolm undertook a range of work including banking, leasing and asset finance, commercial shipping and trade, ship finance and construction and general company and commercial work. Malcom was Managing Partner of his firm (Hill Taylor Dickinson) for a number of years before leading it to merger, to form the then newly combined Hill Dickinson LLP, a top 40 international law firm.

In 2012 Malcolm left private practice and became Chief Executive of a set of barristers’ chambers (The 36 Group), becoming a “Door Tenant” there in 2019. Although he has stepped down as Chief Executive, he remains a consultant to Chambers providing business development and management consultancy services. He is also a member of 36 ADR, in his capacity as a mediator.

Malcolm is a director of Vitruvian Arts Ltd and is a founder member and director of The Art Due Diligence Group. He is also a trustee of The Contemporary Arts Trust. (He was also co-owner and manager of an art gallery in west London, specialising in contemporary and emerging artists for a number of years.)

Malcolm is a CEDR trained and accredited mediator and brings a blend of legal, commercial, international and management experience and knowledge to his mediation practice.
